About the Artist

Originally a native of Southern California, Eric Bowman has made the Pacific Northwest his home since 1987. As a child with a penchant for drawing while growing up in the mainstream of American pop culture, it was only natural for him to enter the work force as a commercial artist -- it was at this point that he was exposed to several genres and 'schools' of painting and began to incorporate this influence into what would become a future passion in his own development as a painter.

Internationally known for his work for Time-Life Entertainment, Nike, Nabisco, Kellogg's, Hallmark and GTE, Eric's original oils have also graced the covers of numerous books, music CD's and popular periodicals, including a recent cover of TIME magazine. His paintings reside in many private and corporate collections including the offices of Major League Baseball and the NBA.

Today as a fine art painter, Eric's endeavor to bring attention to the beauty that surrounds us with paintings that evoke an emotional response has come to the fore as growing interest from private collectors and galleries alike testify to this pursuit.

Eric Bowman lives in Tigard, Oregon with his wife Debbie and their daughter Lily.
